December 11 of Abiding in ChristAbound in good works always All good deeds are rewarded by your Father in Heaven and no good deed shall go unrewarded unless you did it to be honored by men. Jesus said, "Take heed not to do your good before men, in order to be seen by them; otherwise you shall have no reward with your Father in Heaven." Therefore, brethren, let us abound in doing good works towards others whether we receive praise, thanks or reciprocation or not. They who do good in order to receive praise, thanks or reciprocation of men will soon be discouraged from doing good because the world is not thankful. But we who do good to be seen by our Father in Heaven will never become discouraged in our desire to do good, because no good deed goes unrewarded. Abound in good works always. Amen.
