Virtue overcomes sin

Brethren, we can choose virtue over sin because God has given us the moral authority to apply virtue to our lives.

We can choose to love instead of yielding to the sin of hate.

Virtue is obedient to us, but sin has no master.

Virtue overcomes sin.

They who allow sin into their beleaguered lives become slaves to sin and sin becomes their master.

Virtue comes by your choice and remains your servant always.

We can choose to be joyful, but depression and despair comes without the asking.

We can choose to abound in hope, but discouragement thrusts itself upon us.

By choosing the virtue ( whether it be love, joy, peace, patience ) it will overcome the corresponding opposite and negative sinful state.

This day choose the road of virtue.
